Dr. Maya Thompson, a New Jersey native, graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. She then embarked on her first career as an engineer and worked in the industry for six years. With a desire to work in a profession that had a direct impact on people, she left engineering and went on to study dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania. It was then that Dr. Thompson also embraced her desire to improve the quality of life within communities and completed her Master of Public Health in addition to her Doctor of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Thompson moved to Cleveland, OH to complete her residency in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Thompson is excited to be back in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area and is looking forward to creating and maintaining healthy smiles closer to home. In her free time she enjoys playing board games with her family, traveling, and cheering on Philadelphia and Villanova sports teams.
